Interior: Black Dots...

Hi all, after some tries, her is my first Maxwell rendered interior scene.
Used physical sky and sun.
But at first i am missing the shadows from sunlight.
I tried the position of the sun by only rendering the floor and the two buttresses, so Position is right and in this rendering there were shadows.

the glass material is set to 0.02 absorbance and abbe 170.

rendered in 11h 20 min. sampling level 19.57 was reached.

And the second thing is:
Why are there these black dots on the right wall behind the ball chair?

which version are you using? is it 1.2.2 or 1.2.2a?

um, what 3d program have you exported the scene from? i think i remember there's some exporting geometry issue with cinema that can cause those dots.

as for sun through glass, that's a known bug with this beta:

i modeled the whole scene (inclusive houses in the back) in C4D 9.

so u think, perhaps the geometry is bad after export ?

yes, it could be. try searching the cinema forum, there must be something in there about it (plus the cinema forum is very well organized, they have a lot of fancy stuff for cinema users there. it shouldn't be difficult to find out).

Thanks you both,

The Floor Texture comes from http://www.arroway.de/de/index.html
You can download low res sample textures there, in my opinion very cool stuff, worth to buy the cds.
