Very nice model, and that floor material is really good. Something seems odd to me about the shadows.....it looks more like an ambient occlusion pass, than shadows cast from lightsources. Perhaps if you put more of them and a bit smaller. A bit mor details on the walls too, but I guess you haven't finished those yet.

The lighting here is replicated directly from the actual set, and believe it or not, that's how it looks. Very flat. In a few close-ups, they used a couple of forward-firing highlighters, but I wanted to see how m~w duplicated the real effect, and it did! It's just a lot of downward firing heavily diffused light.

P.S., Actually, this is the low-res proxy version of the background, the full res is giving me memory errors for some reason... debugging.

I like the fact that he looks like he needs a good Swiffering.

Very nice as always Mike!
vajra wrote:Offtopic: Is it possible to use Maxwell with Darkbasic pro or dark game SDK?
You can peek Maxwell SDK... I don't think you can implement as a RT engine but maybe you can develop a scene builder with Darkbasic.

WOW, just a ROCKIN job! cant wait to see future renders from you.
I'm curious were did you get the info on the set lighting?
Was it writen somewhere or is it part of the bonus feature on one of the Dvd's?
Again Just Stunning!
And even tough its a low rez background I'm thrilled that you posted it!
