Siliconbauhaus Was wondering what you thought of your boxx computer. The office might be purchasing me a new machine. Also what do you think about AMD's performance as opposed to intels. Gadzzoks

Boxx is the only machines I'll buy.
Mine is almost 2 years old and nothing has gone wrong with it ( touches wood ) I did the benchmark test over at the vray forum and my 240's werent that far off against faster xeons.
Whatever processor you choose just make sure it's in a boxx case

Hey looking good, I like the mini orb, I've been having a bit of trouble trying to get definition in the orb, like it renders flat where all those little ridges are.
Whats the dimensions of the ribbing in your orb ?

Corrugate, the wavy panels.

Duncan to be honest with you, I just created them, and then did several test renders. I then scaled them up after each render until i got the desired resolution i was after. No secret really. Zooks

Thanks gadzooks,
I just tried the same thing, I'm starting to see ribbing now.
I check the specs on a website for the mini orb, cladding, whatever you wanna call it and I followed that, it was pretty small dimensions.

mini orb will be tiny Duncan. This looks like he was going with a custom orb profile which is your standard corrugated iron size.
