Animating the physical sky and sun?

Is there a way to animate the sun?
I'd like to do a time lapse animation that goes from exterior to interior lighting.
Is this possible? Where would I key frame the sun position?

Isn't it rather a plugin issue ? I know very little about plugin development, but it seem no big deal to make time parameter enveloppable. Since we can already animte focal lenght, f/stop, focus distance, etc., would be cool to have these little "E" buttons near the numeric parameters of the environment tab of the plugin (or whatever is the equivalent for different apps : I speak of Lightwave plugin here).

Yeh, I am in Lightwave as well and thought it could be implemented easily enough.
NextLimit already makes plugs for Lightwave via realflow in which the LW interface interacts with Realflow data. I'm sure its easily done but just hasn't been made yet.

hey it's possible to animate lots of maxwell parameters with Maya Plug-in (espacially sun position - hour and date etc...) !
may be because Maya is enough open...
it's time to try Maya !!!
