yeah, what kind of image are you loading? be careful about formats and other stuff. Like capital JPG extension is not understood. PSD PNG, IFF etc wont be read.
Try loading simple jpg or targa small size and see if that works.

do remember that maxwell most likely wont accept any progressive jpg's or 3ds max textures...so if you got those kill em.

hello Jay,

Could you send us the scene to maxwelltech@nextlimit.com? so we can study why the mxs file is not written. Where you apply the diffuse texture? to one object or several ones? in a subobject level? Try to appy a texture in a very simple scene with one object with a diffuse material to check if you get the same result and then increase the complexity of the scene until you get the bug. Please check if you have the same issue applying any type of texture channel (diffuse, bump..) do you have the same bug with textures in plastics?

there must be a bug with the code as i get the same error from houdini

i have supplied nl with sample files as well

lets hope they find soon so we can make our world beautful again

must note that perhaps it is my code that has the bug . . .
