Particle rendering?

Victor mentioned in the feature list that rendering of particles is a finished feature, but what does it mean 'rendering of particles'?
Do you mean by this, the ability to render instances?

Maybe something "non geometric" renderable primitive. Like a "visible point", or somethink like that.
But has to e some cool feature.

I imagine that like Hypervoxels in LW....

Well, a volumetric shader is ready, just think of the fog... now, all we need is a way to localize, map, and control it.

Why don't they mention what it is, since it's ready...
Particles aren't necessarily volumetric effects like clouds or smoke, but it would be nice if that's what Victor ment

could it also mean hair , grass.... possibilities...?

If you've got full control over a volumetric shader (like voxel clouds, or I dunno...) , its only a matter of "maps" to do hair, grass, leves, fractals, isosurfaces, ect...
