Particle rendering?

Victor mentioned in the feature list that rendering of particles is a finished feature, but what does it mean 'rendering of particles'?

Do you mean by this, the ability to render instances?

Maybe something "non geometric" renderable primitive. Like a "visible point", or somethink like that.

But has to e some cool feature. ;)

I imagine that like Hypervoxels in LW....

Well, a volumetric shader is ready, just think of the fog... now, all we need is a way to localize, map, and control it. ;)

:) Why don't they mention what it is, since it's ready...

Particles aren't necessarily volumetric effects like clouds or smoke, but it would be nice if that's what Victor ment :)

could it also mean hair , grass.... possibilities...?

If you've got full control over a volumetric shader (like voxel clouds, or I dunno...) , its only a matter of "maps" to do hair, grass, leves, fractals, isosurfaces, ect... :D
