More SSS translucency please!

I am modelling a scene with some hair spray cans. The caps are made of translucent white plastic. Even though I have modelled them with very small thickness, no Absorbtion and have applied SSScatering 1 (maximum) I can't see any translucency. Could it be possible to get more translucency than what we have in next versions of M~R?
Or is it a hard thing to do?

(I have checked my unit scale and it is correct)

I will post renders on Monday (I'll let it run for the WE)

:D

More SSS?

Hey there,

I've used dialectrics for transparent plastic. Choose a basic dialetctirc, set an absorbtion of .05 or less (I'm using Rhino, and .3 UV roughness and a color and you're all set...

Adjust for your particular desired look.
