The maps are ither blank or wierd. I've remapped a couple of times. Also even thought the d/l site says it's updates the Max plugin still says 1.2.1. Does anone elses nw plugin say that?

Is anyone else having this problem in Max?

Just verify that your checkboxes in the material editor are on, they auto check off the first time you assign or create a material, Thats a known issue.

it works just fine here. as animated says, have you checked that your maps are activated?

Well, I unchecked the color & bump maps (turned them off) and then back on and now it works. Which is odd since I had to enable them to begin with...I know they were turned on.

were you rendering an old scene jeff? all this checking maps stuff is here since the first beta came out, i had the same problem as you (checking, unchecking and then enabling them again) while re rendering already mapped old scenes.

Nope. I simply started max and created a sphere & maxwell camera. Then applied a spherical UVW map to the sphere. I then created a Maxwell diffuse material and enabled the sun/sky.
I rendered the scene and it rendered as expected.
I then added a .jpg to the color map, and a .jpg to the bump map. I enabled both checkboxes for the maps. Then rendered again and while the color of the sphere changed, the map did not display.
I then unchecked the color & bump maps...and rendered. The sphere was grey again.
I then checked (enabled) the color & bump maps and it rendered properly.
