Check if you have tif or gif maps. Or multi materials with the same name.

No gifs or tifs, only jpgs, no multis with same name :(

perhaps indexed colors o grayscale?

Mira si tienes colores indexados o escala de grises en los jpg

check if it works with one material for all geometry. If it doesn't, you may have corrupt geometry.

Or maybe you have bitmpap names with dashes or invalid characters.

If I apply one material with no textures, work fine, if I add a jpg texture, or bmp o tga, it gives me the same error !!

once I hade this problem, it was just an .jpg file that was messed up so simply resaved it out from ps and it worked fine after that.

Maps are working just fine for me, if I stick to jpg for now....what exactly is the problem?

There will surely be support for other formats soon, but it's not like super urgent.

falconking, make sure you have enough space on the hd you are saving the mxs too (it might get bigger if you include textures), and then do as suggested and start hiding geometry and rendering (with textures applied).

Double check your textures, resave them also maybe. One might have gotten corrupted.

I HAVE TRIED 100 DIFERENT TEXTURES, RENAME IT, CHANGED EXTENSIONS, ETC. SAME ERROR. HAVE PLENTY OF SPACE, 25 GIGS FREE. ITS A MISTERY....

maybe this is the clue:

"Error: Invalid filename addBitmap"

double check the names of ALL your textures, maybe you have some special characters in them.....

just make a new test scene with a textured object, see if you get an error. If you don't then it's not something that went wrong with Maxwell or the plugin.

Well I can help you Wolfkiller, this whole forum can help to find out why some of your jpegs work and some not. Can you post one that works and one that does not? It could be several reasons.

:( In my case the problem is that it doesn´t matter what jpg I try....None work ! I have tried 200 so far. The worst thing is that there is no way to know what is wrong, geometry is not wrong that´s for sure, because if I remove all textures, it renders fine. This is just a monster bug, that´s all...

There is no point... I´m using 50 different materials, But I can´t use any texture, no matter wich one I try. :(
