I dont know if im understand you correctly but the maxwell viewer will you find under Start --> Next Limit --> Maxwell --> maxwell viewer. If you want to render using mxi files go to http://www.maxwellrender.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4204

Atilla.....

1. Open mxi viewer
2. From the "File" menu >Load image
3. Load a bitmap (jpg, tga)
4. Adjust the intensity of the image using the intensity slider until you get the brightness you want. Brighter=it will cast more light when used as an emitter.

5. File>Save mxi

6. In Max, make a Maxwell emitter material.

7. In the mxi texture slot click on it, from the menu that comes up, click Mxi loader, and load your mxi texture.

You cannot convert HDR images directly to mxi with the mxi viewer for now, you have to first convert your HDR images to LDR (jpg, tga etc), then convert those to mxi.

There have already been 15-20 posts about this in both this forum and the gallery. Please take the time to read through them, then, if you have further questions.....
