Ok quick questions about the MXI functions.
1. When you want to utilize the resume render do you first have to click write MXi and begin a render with that .MXI first?
2. Is "write MXI" the same as "render layer" saying one writes an MXI and the other renders a genral RGP image (tif, jpg, tga, etc.)?
3. OR, does write MXI just make the image format .MXI and then you pick "render layer", "render alpha", etc to specify what is added to the MXI?
3B. If 3 is true then can I assume an MXI image can contain Alpha data as well as MXI information?
4.If you are resuming an MXI does MW know where it left off? Is it automatic when you ask it to resume that it know if the data on one MXI pertains to the scene you are rendering? What if I accidentally resume an MXI from another scene?
5. Would Maxwell know and stop me from resuming if I was resuming the wrong scene render for the MXI file I chose or even the same frame?
Thanks, I skimmed through the TXT file. Guess I'll go check the PDFs now as well.
