I keep trying to render a previous Maxwell model which worked fine while using the alpha version. When I start rendering the scene I get this message "Error:MXS file is invalid" I can't figure out what is causing this error, anyone have any ideas?

are you trying to re render directly from the mxs through mxcl?

I'm rendering out of Max using the plugin.

then it may be some material compatibility problem. have you reapplied all materials from scratch or you're still using the old ones created with the alpha?

Still using all the materials from the old model. This is the only model that is giving me this problem.

i don't know, but old materials can give some problem. sometime. have you tried to apply a single simple diffuse material to the whole scene? just to see if it works this way.

even when I replace all the materials with a new diffuse material I still get the same error.

Make sure in the about window that both engine and plugin versions read 1.2 beta.

I know when I first dl the plugin, they hadn't yet updated it with the beta, and I still had the old plugin, which gave me this error message.

Ok I've finally figured out what the problem was, for some reason my window frames were causing the MXS file to error out. As soon as I turned them off it worked fine without having to re-map any materials. I'm still not sure why this happened though. :?
