Anybody has any tips in making a nice night exterior scene of a building with perimeter glass and some solid walls.. Should I use ags for the glass or regular glass? Does the skydome works just change the light color or use the physical sky? Should I model all the lights of the building or just draw some big planes with an emitter providing enought light for the scene..

Appreciate your help.

Thanks

It all depends on what kind of result you are looking for.
I suggest you find a photo or a reference rendering that looks a bit like what you are after.

About something like this. I got water on my scene too.. with large atrium and light pouring out. into a reflective pool with trees around it.

I think I would use a night sky hdri for the environment, and only model the lamps that are visible through the glass. Other lams only as simplified rectangular area lights. I would use ags, not real glass.

Yes and don't forget to group your lamps before you render...
