Its been over 2 week's. That can't be all.......can it?

It been two weeks already ? wow time flies fast when you have fun.. yep maybe that's all the reveals for 2.0. It's kinda difficult to know when/if there will be a next announcement as they're not posting any info regarding that.

good question. I'm sure it's not the last but the first was on Fri May 8, and the second Friday May 29 (3 weeks later). Today is 3 weeks after the 29th. I hope it's just a little late, at least then there's some pattern going on.

I don't know about their announcement schedule, but there is much, much more that could be announced.

Your posts are depressing me... If there really is MUCH MUCH more to announce, and it takes 3 weeks from one announcement to another, we are looking at 2010 at the earliest! Of course I am happily producing renders on 1.7 for now....

Ha ha, I didn't say there were much much more announcements. I said there was much much more they could announce. I doubt they will make a separate announcement for every little improvement.

you talk so much of how much you still have to show us and that we'll like what we see - the only problem I have so far: even though some of you already seem to work with the new engine and there are some announcements showing there might really be something coming - i'd like to know when or at least what!?

2 announcements just 2 weeks apart and almost 1 month gone without any news at all? I can only wonder how finished this new version is and why you cannot even make another announcement regarding details? Is it not yet ready - then go on telling us what is going to come and use the time in the background to finish v2. Otherwise why tell us v2 is coming when it's not ready? Just for stockholder/financial issues?


And even if you need more time - please tell us if this is the case, so we don't wonder why you take so long to setup a 3rd news website.

I'm afraid these are no v2 screenshots; I remember them being a part of a case study somewhere around version 1.0 or so.

These aren't 2.0 screenshots, you have a screenshot of new studio in the Workflow announcement. Check it out from the Maxwell render v2 page
