does anyone know of a tutorial that describes how to navigate cameras inside of maxwell studio?
i must be doing something wrong...i have been trying to setup cameras for the last couple of hours.
i prefer moving the camera around manually, but the camera movement is unpredictable when using
the 'handles'
i have the manual, but it is of little use.
any advise?
thanks

It's actually very easy, once you get used to it: Hold the alt key down, and move around with the mouse with the different mouse buttons pressed.

thanks for the reply.
while that works, i cannot seem to rotate 360 degrees (similar to what can be done in rhino).
is there a way to rotate (spin) an object around?

No there is no turntable option, but you can do it manually: Zoom in on the desired object, rightclick and select "focus to". Now hold "alt" and drag the mouse with left mouse button pressed.

Shift and Ctrl are also modifiers. For example Alt+Shift+Left click will keep the camera in the same spot but "look around" that location. Alt+Shift+Middle Mouse button will "roll" the camera. If you add Ctrl to any of those button combos you'll be able to make more minor adjustments.

All this info is in the manual, I don't understand why you say it's of little help. The camera navigation in Studio is pretty standard.

If you have a programmable mouse you can set another button as the alt button (I use the thumb button) and all nav can be done from the mouse!
