first in line

Well, I can see some "nice new features"... but the news that I'm waiting/wishing for were not there

- I want to know about "instances"
- I want to know how maxwell is going to compete against Vray RT or RC5!!!

Modo plugin!!!!!!!!!! that is so cool.

So my next question for Next Limit is how are the license upgrades going to roll out. I must have version 2 with modo 401?

This is by far the best year for two of my favorite software releases.

Thanks NL.

Thumbs up! :)

Very cool stuff there.

One thing I noticed was that in the MXI scene on tab 4 there are the usual check boxes for alpha, material id, z-buffer, etc. There's also a new one for Motion Vector. Any ideas what that would be for?

Probably for motion vector pass output to do blur in post.

All is really great,

but in the new UI : http://www.maxwellrender.com/version2/v ... ll_ui.html

I don't see any option in the multilight to change the color light ... :( :(
(Or maybe it will be in the little " W ", who knows...)

I am sad, I dreamed about this feature ...

Too bad maybe for the nex time.

Regarding competing with Vray RT or RC5, has anyone taken my suggestion seriously to create a 360-deg. panoramic mxs file that you can change the camera view in (a Maxwell virtual fish-eye lens; check out this site: http://www.0-360.com/). I know there might be some distortion at the edges, but I think that would be a pretty good feature to have! And, given that Maxwell 2.0 is becoming faster, rendering a larger 360-deg. scene could be feasible.

:?:

I am very happy with the second announcement and I hope we get some info soon on dielectrics, instances, motion blur, SSS etc... Little things that make the big difference....
