Hi,
what is the best way to put an image behind a window (a background) in maxwell?
When I worked in vray I saved the render as tga and after in photoshop I applied the background.
Now in maxwell I tried to save in tga but seems not work.
Any suggestion?
thanx
fabrizio

You need to render an alpha pass as well. In the render channels select alpha and then Maxwell will save an alpha too. Otherwise you could always add the background before rendering.

You can also use an image in the environment channel in the background tab.
Hiding emitters at windows will make the image show through

I used alpha and images in tga format to composite background in photoshop.
But why has the background black colour in maxwellrender while the reflections have the colour of the sky?
Vray in alph achannel, if I remeber well, render the background with the sky colour.
thank you in advanced
