i just got a pm from a member called profilicus this morning titled "forum administration"

it then had a link titled "important to read" which i duly clicked on thinking it was from the forum admin only for it to navigate away from the site and ask for a security code to be put in.

this is very dodgy and i'm 99% sure that it is a scam of some sort, i looked into proflicus and he has no posts, joined 5 days ago and is not an admin!

if I have gotten this wrong can an admin please pm me and delete this post otherwise people be careful before clicking that link!!!

Thanks for letting us know. It's spam. We never normally send out PMs to individual users and if we do, it will come directly from me or maybe from Tom, Mihai or Victor.
We are trying to find a good solution for these spamming issues and are looking into it.
