Decals Help Please

Hey Guys!

I cant seem to get this decal issue to go away or improve! Maybe its my settings but have a look at this:

The decal material was originally done as an offset surface and the surface clipped leaving the speaker decals but also giving me this strange look! the material rendered in the pic above is a single material including the decals but still this strange double surface effect!

Looking at that material again I made a big mistake should be 3 or 4 layers to enable a clipping layer :oops: Will give it ago!

I've created a 4 Layer material - First 2 layers are my plastic material and the next 2 layers are weight mapped to clip the decals but same result!

Hey Darren, try this one I made. This is how I normally do decals. Notice this way uses no maps in the reflectance 0 channel allowing you to match your other mat on the non-decal part of the speaker. Decal / non decal is controlled with weight maps. Hope this helps.

Cheers Brian! Your Mat makes sense don't know why I inserted the map into the reflectance 0 channel! :oops: - Thanks for clearing things up I'll try the material out and see what results I get! :wink:
