I have a render farm of 4 computers, with a 3 comp setup 2 would send and one would receive. Now that i have added a 4th comp 2 are sending and 2 are receiving. This phase has lasted for 30 minutes, the rendering phase lasted only 34minutes. the file size is 1,819kb, i have a total of 24cores rendering and one is a bran new I7. the output file should be about 130,000kb. so what is the delay?

thanks
Dan

Check all of your nodes to see if one has frozen or crashed.

all nodes say render finished successfully.

You can find the individual mxi's and manually merge them if they all finished correctly.

i suppose, would all nodes then save to the same location or would i have to copy all 4 files from the separate machines?

this is just odd. before i added the I7 the initial receiving mxs phase was very short, now it takes a 5-15 minutes! what is going on? is it possible that this is a license issue?

What OS is the new i7 running? Could it be a firewall or antivirus?

the i7 os is xp64,
i found if i remove my cpu from the assigned to cpus then all delays and errors go away. but this didn't happen till i added the i7? oh by the way manually merging the renders will not really be an option, i have about 100 renders to do by tuesday, and if i had to manually merge 4 mxi per render
