									animation with simulens

					There is a trable to rendering animation with simulens diffraction.
When it turned off animation rendering will work well,but when it is on rendering server will lost 100%.
anybody knows about this trouble??
Please help.

					i don't know where your trouble comes from.. but if i would do an animation i would apply simulens in post, not at rendertime. i mean you will be able to change the effect if you don't like it...

					I wouldn't recommend setting a simulens value before rendering. It will calculate the effect at every update, potentially adding lots of time to the overall render. Although tedious, take PN's advice and do it one at a time, post render.

..hmm maybe what i posted in 
this thread was too complicated after all...
 
..i used this script to batch 40 4000x3000px renders with simulens over night (took 6h)
..to be seen in action in this little video tutorial i put together:

it is in h.264 so you might need the latest codecs like this:

naah.. not even half ways through.. 
 
but this one can be really helpfull, also to check new arperture/obstacle maps with a set of standard scenes,.. 
it is funny how the scattering slider does not work but the others do.. 
maybe that could be changed ...
