Can anybody explain this technique of Postproduction.

“The image was created with Cinema 4D and rendered with Maxwell Render 1.7 on two Quad Cores with 6 and 8GB of ram for almost 80 hours. Two different shutter speeds were used; one to illuminate the scene, and one for the reflections in the windows. The only post work was done with Photoshop, to substitute a part of the windows.”

I´ts really a great render. And the little photoshop tweak is fantastic.

Could be nice to have a forum section for post production tips.

Yea,

I guess there was an alpha channel rendered to get a mask for the windows and then patched them together in PS.

Kind of the thing you do with fake hdr/tonemapping in photography
