Is there a way of increasing the accuracy of library objects? For example, my cylinder looks tessellated. I've used lots of them and don't really want to have to remodel them in Solidworks.

No you can't, they are just polygonal objects. You could actually create your own objects and save an mxs scene of it to the library folder so it appears in the menu.
