how do you guys match the camera settings from application to application ?
for example when compositing maxwell renders into vue environments .. are there issues with DOF or similar ?

how are those problems to solve properly ?

or for example if facing ratio passes are created for color correction in mental ray that should perfectly align with maxwell renders ..

I had to add volumetric effects to a Maxwell render animation. I had the scene in Maya and just had to be careful that the resolution gate setting was set to overscan in the camera I was working on and the renders in mental ray matched perfectly.

I am guessing you had other programs in mind since you use maya, but I jumped in since you mentioned mental ray.

If you re-create a camera with the exact position and settings, you shouldn't have any problem?

ah that sounds great ..

but the native mental ray cameras have totally different settings for the DOF which may never fit. the standard maya cams surely match much better if not perfect as just stated from you guys.

anyone has some feedback with about workflow with vue ??

how do you guys match the lighting between vue and maxwell ?
