Hello again. I've been watching lots of images here, and I have to ask: people, what is the hardware needed to really get clean images ? what resolution ? SL ? I am frustrated since it seems I never have enough... SL 21 is noisy. render for more than 3 days ? not usable.... what should I do?

If it's not clean at SL 21, it will probably not be clean at 24 either. Many cores will decrease the rendering times, but my advice is to forget about (only) looking for a hardware solution to get clean renderings. The solution is mainly in the materials and lighting.

I think most of the tests in
this threadare made within SL 10-15

And many people use image cleaners like Neat Image or Noise Ninja as part of their post ops.

I know that tread long time ago.... but that scene is empty. My scenes are fully-furnished living rooms, with sun light bursting through the balcony windows....and image cleaners are not well suited for vivid scenes... I think MR needs it's own noise cleaner built-into a material.

Is this possible?

It could be solved differently:
there are some materials which need to render longer, to completely clean up. if the render engine would detect these materials automatically and put more effort into them, the total render time could be decreased which will lead to a better result.
this has already been suggested (slightly different if I recall it correctly) on the wish list
