maxwell slow on mac pro & bootcamp...

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but...
I've been using maxwell with XP32 on bootcamp on a brand new Mac PRO and it hasn't been maxing out the cores, they sit at something like 4% and the benchmark only reaches a score of something like 30. If I run multiple renders at the same time then it eventually gets to 100% but I can't seem to do just one fast render. Any ideas?

sorry, no ideas here.
Just wanted to say that I'm very interested in this also,
as I'm planning to go 100% windows or linux using bootcamp on a mac pro very soon.
I'll keep an eye on this thread
good luck!

what BM do you get under OSX?
I'm running XP32 via bootcamp on my home machine and Vista64 via bootcamp on my office machine (both intel macpros) and I've not noticed this issue.
Have you tried the benchmark scene?
Maybe there's something with your file??

Ok, false alarm, I guess there was something screwy with my scene, it's my first time using this machine. When I ran the benchmark all cores were 100%, the BM for both the mac and PC side was around 450-550. My mac pro is a 2.8 quad-core xeon with 2GB ram. Is there a way to find out exactly which version it is? System Profiler seems to give very useless info in this regard... unless there's some special way of reading it that I don't know yet...

well, you are most likely running the 5400 series processors if you bought it late 2007/early 2008, if you bought early 2007/late 2006 you are running 5100 series processors

For that problem scene, make sure threads are set to 0.

i work on macpros with bootcamp. they are blazing fast.
it cant be the macpros or bootcamps fault. make sure your setup and install of windows is correct
cheers
