I use FORM.Z as the 3D modeling program and have Maxwell Render as the plugin render engine. I bought a DVD of DOSCH DESIGN trees. They are 3D tress that I need to import the .OBJ file into Form.Z.

My question is this: How to I create the textures in Maxwell so that they look as good as they do on the website? I know how to create textures - but I'm not sure EXACTLY how to edit them correctly so it looks like the website images. If anyone can help, that would be great. Thanks.

That's a tough question to answer. My advice is to download some tree textures from the MXM site, and dissect them.

As you get into making the textures, post specific questions about the settings and we will try to help.

Well, I guess I don't know if I need to make the textures an SSS so light actually passes through the leaves rather than having them be opaque. I think the problem is that there just seems to be SO many different items you need to apply to make a texture.... bump map, texture map, displacement map, sss, etc....etc.... it kind of gets confusing to make one texture over another.

Thanks for the post though.
