yeah... I tell you this, if you don't use 64 bit, don't bother working with complex scenes...

the really odd thing is that i did some test renders before setting up this one and they rendered fine.
now i put in all default material and it works just fine.
if i delete all but 2 glasses with margarita mxm and orange slice, renders fine. if i replace chairs and hide them the glasses will not render.

so it turns out that rendering with a sss material in a glass just creates far too many problems.

Kami,
i'm not sure why but if i render the drinks by themselves it does ok,
if i render the scene by itself then it renders ok,
but i cannot put the drinks in the scene and render it.

maxwell sometimes has some strange behaviors ...
have you tried remodelling the drinks inside the scene?

i use 3ds max, but i render in studio.
i don't really have much exp. in 3ds max. which is just something i need to work on, when i have down time.
