hi!

I'm rendering a model atm to be photoshopped into a fly-photo.
My setups are the default sky, location stockholm, summer, in the morning.

I want sharp sun-shadows and high contrast between the shadowed areas and the areas where the sun hits.

What I'm getting is this:

This is what I want:

This is the look in studio..
I've tryed all kinds of settings.. cant get any sun shadows.
Could it have to do with my scale?

I know is going to sound stupid but... are you really using "Sun"?
If so, maybe you can try with an emitter, there's no sun presence in your scene, it seems just the physical sky.

How far are the models from scene center? Try placing them them at the center and re-render.

your ground-plane seems to have quite a reflectivity. i guess once u raise it towards lambert your shadows will appear sharper.

Yes I'm using sun, checked that twice, trust me ;)

I guess it has to do with that my model is pretty far away from the center of the scene.

I'll move it and see what happends!

...yes, this should be your problem. i recently had the same problem - the distance of my model to the center was ~2500 m. > no sun shadows. moved to center > fixed.
looks like in the mxw universe the sun has only a diameter of few hundred meters... not really useful for city planning
