License and Node Problem

I have two licenses and bought recently two additional nodes. Following NL instructions, I copied the text into the license.txt file and removed all license.dat file. When startup, maxwell studio recognizes 2 licenses+2 nodes. But now I can only render at one computer. If I want to start any other computer, it says:

ERROR: - Maximum number of licenses reached. Render cannot continue. To render on this computer, you must first shut down one or more instances of mxcl running on other networked computers, then restart this mxcl application.

At least before I bought the two nodes, I could render at two machines at the same time. As NL doesn't answer, any advise on what to do? We are having a deadline and I have to take all machines stationary and render on single machine...

I am not involved in the networking side of things, so I couldn't guess what to do about this particular error. However, in order to save some time when someone who does know checks in, please post the following info:

- the version of Maxwell you are running
- which types of hardware and OSes are involved
- details about your network setup which you think may be useful

Oh yes:

2 Mac Pro, 2 Mac Book Pro, running Mac OSX.5
Maxwell 1.7.1
Ethernet Network, managed by XServe

When you start up Studio, it will quickly say how many licenses and nodes you have. (Mine says 1 + 4, meaning 1 license and 4 nodes) Make sure that is correct first. Maybe somehow you copied the wrong license to each machine. It sounds like it is only reading that you have 1 installed.

Bubaloo,

When you read my first post, studio says on startup 2+2.

This is the part I don't understand. It seems to recognize all the licenses but does only allow ONE machine to render at the same time...
