Drive letters?

All our projects reside on a PC server. All the PCs in our office have a drive letter assigned to the projects folder.

When I open these files up on my mac the searchpath is jumbled and when it asks for missing Maxwell files the dialogue is too small making it impossible to reconnect the textures. Like this:

The view from inside the texture dialogue. Also note that swedish characters are not displayed properly.

I am not sure if this needs to be fixed in the Next Limit end or if this is a FormZ issue... But it is very frustrating making it all but impossible to collaborate on projects.

Stop using swedish characters as a start, it always results in problems.
Have you tryed using UNC search-paths instead?

True, keep it in english only to avoid any such problems at all. I always work in english, write everything in english, it's the easiest and helps you avoid all troubles local languages will cause. Besides it sounds better than swedish when it comes to filenames and such things.. :)

OK but

OK, sure I know this already but try educating 60 architects about such matters.... and also once the error is made there might be many other files (thinking mainly about Autocad) that may be in trouble if the searchpath is edited unless everyone has been very careful to make relative searchpaths in their Xrefs...

Apparently the NL team are on this forum because they are taking part in some discussions. My only wish for this christmas season is a simple acknowledgment when reporting bugs. I don't even expect the bugs to be fixed any time soon but I think it would be courteous to at least reply when bugs are reported. If not I think most people will give up.

I am in fact trying to do you a favour by reporting this so that you can make an even better product.

Merry Xmas!

I've reposted the questions, thanx for pointing me in the right direction. Let's hope that works better.
