Displacement problem

Hi,
I'm trying to establish a displacement workflow from Zbrush to Maxwell. I made a test object (a 3d cube I sculpted lumps and bumps into). I imported the low res cube (not too low) and a nice displacement map from Zbrush into Maxwell studio. It renders, but the polys from the low res mesh all crack open at their edges when the displacement map is used. I'm getting some displacement on the polys from the map but somethings very wrong. I'm a newbie and any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thank you very much,

-Mack

If you could post or send the scene it would help. It could be several things...not enough precision for the displacement, or how the smoothing is set on the object. Try setting the object smoothing to more than 90°, and press Recalc normals and render again.

Thank you!

increasing the smoothing and recalculating normals solved the cracking.
There are still some shading artifacts (hard edges in shading where the displacement should make it smooth).
If I can't get that solved I'll send you an example scene file.

Thanks again!
