When the render solution with multi light enabled is completed, is it possible to save that render solution to come back to later and save as different images with various light settings, or do the images all have to be saved before closing the scene?

An mxi file is always saved with the render, you can also specify it's name and location, if not it's saved as default.mxi in the Maxwell install folder. You can always open that .mxi file and adjust the lights just like you would during the render.

Even if you havn't saved a MXI file you can adjust the sliders just as you want them, save an MXI for compositing and then go on and on untill you have all that you want!
