Resolution Issues

I am having difficulties rendering a model I have exported from 3ds Max at any larger resolution than 2550 x 1650 ? I am trying to render larger for a building sign somewhere around 10800 x 7200 but keep receiving a C++ visual error message after the model reaches 100% voxelization. My computer is not the fastest in the world but should handle at least a 5100 x 3300 resolution which it is not. Any suggestions or hints of what I could be doing wrong?
Thanks
Chad

How much ram do you have, and are you running a 64 bit OS?

Your problem is most likely not enough memory.

if i remember correctly 2GB is the maximum ram assigned to a single process when running XP32. depending on the complexity of your scene you might hit that limit even at resolutions below 5000 pix.
if you can (and your CPU), upgrade to a 64 bit os and get another 1gb ram stick.

man, try using search on the forum ,we got tons of topics like this one.
Anyway, first of all you don't need that resolution.
No matter how large you want to print, all you need is an A3 output.
Something around 5000 x 3000 pixel does it. larger output is useless.
Hope this help !
*anyways, if you still want to rendersuch size image, i'll need 64bit OS, and more RAM.
