Hey guys, nice to see an update so soon.Would anyone like to see a torrent download option for new releases? Especially since the server gets so busy at release time, I'm downloading the patch only and besides timing out, i'm getting dialup speed on an 8Mb connection, would help spread the bandwidth load.Luxology gives this option for its releases which helps a lot since the content and training material is quite large.

What does everyone else think?

I don't know if NL will appreciate that.. it's probably to easy for someone weakminded human to post those torrent links outside this forum and then giving everyone access to them.

But from a personal point of view, i completly agree with you on using torrents to distribute updates and stuff as it's both fast and reliable as long as people keep seeding even after their download has finished.

And last but not least, i wanna say thank you NL for this quick update you put together for us. It was a nice unexpected surprise, but a most welcome one. :) keep them updates and patches coming on a regular basis (if possible) to eliminate those bugs, issues and problems users experience.

mmhh... personally I hate torrents, I guess it's easier to have a direct link and I always get fast downloads from NL server...

Same here. I think torrent downloads are not a good idea from a business standpoint. N.L. will have no control of their product...

nevermind that some ISPs consider any use of torrents "illegal"; in their eyes torrents have no legitimate use…

hehe yeah, think outside the box!, just about all linux distributions i know of are available to download with a torrent option as far as security goes if someone posted the torrent file on a website, couldn't the same be done with the URL we all get emailed each release? I was just curious what the forum and NL Team thought, luxology provide it as an option, not being a security guru myself there must be a way to implement security measures, you can only download the torrent if you are logged into your account, never tried it from someone elses computer.

Cheers
