					Hi
i imported my cinemamodell (cinema vers. 9.6) with the new plugin 1.6
from maxell 1.6f3.
in my picture see you one material wall but my left wallside has another
texturquadrat with the rigthtsite
in the old version 1.5.1 i have no problems
what can i do ? is the a plugin bug ?
thx for feedback

This was a bug in 1.6 with cubic projectors, it's fixed in 1.6.1 available for download now

					It should show 1.6.1
Did you indicate the paths correctly in the installer?

sorry i had the wrong path - i have installed the 1.6.1

)
but my problem ist the the same as version 1.6 the cubic projektors
i installed my old cinemaxwell 1.57 in my cinemaprogramm and then
write a mxs.file - version 1.6.1 has problem with the cubic projektors
i uninstall 1.6.1 and i install my 1.5.1
sorry mihai but the bug it's not fixed in 1.6.1

Could you send me the mxs? Did you try clicking Adjust to object for the selected UVs?

i think i found the difference

					hi Mihai
for now i must say thank you for your support
i think i found the problem
in the version 1.5.1 write the UV Parameters / Cubic any parameters
for example sca 6.740 | 3.210 | 2.151 and the Uv Pararmeters was arbitrary that was no problem after i give for my wallmaterial the paramters 0.5 | 0.5 | 0.5 and the effect was perfect
now version 1.6.1
in the version 1.6.1 write the UV Parameters / Cubic any parameters
sca 1.00 | 1.00 | 1.00 the problem is the UV texture is not a quadrat
but the left and the rightsite has differnce quadrats and that is the problem
what i say in the morning my clients ???? She wait for three renderings.
I,m tired i go bed
matthias
i send you an old file 1.5.1 and a new file 1.6.1

I'm not sure if you are familiar with how UVs work in general, but did you try in Cinema to create a non proportionally scaled cube and apply cubic UVs to it? What do the texture tiles look like? They will look scaled differently, since each side of the cubic projector is scaled to each side of your object. This is how it's supposed to work. The scale of the projector is shown as a percentage of the object it's applied to. I believe it works the same in Cinema, and basically every other 3D modeling application.
You can either normalize the projector (rightclick the projector>Normalize) which will make it 1m in length for all sides, or apply a material with Real Scale checked to the object, which will again adapt the objects cubic projector to 1m, so now all sides of your non proportional object will have the same size tiles.

					Hi Mihai
version 1.5.1 i had no problems
i work in cinema without uv tags by my housemodell without problems
but by xfrogtrees i worked with uv-tags
version 1.6.1 i had problems
with uv-tags and without uv-tags

Matthias, I didn't get the old file just the new one, but like I mentioned earlier, you can simply select all objects, then select all their UVs in the list and rightclick>Normalize, this will create square projectors for your non square geometry. So it takes about 5 seconds to do this for all your objects.
Not sure how to explain this any better....this is how projectors work in every 3D application that I know of. I really don't see why you revert to 1.5 because of this. In the end it will not make your life easier since projectors in 1.5 were pretty unpredictable, scale/position was sometimes showing world coordinates, sometimes relative to the object. Now in 1.6, scale/position/rotation is always relative to the object, as it is in other 3D packages.
The point is, you would like to have all your cubic projectors exactly square, even if your geometry is non square, to do that you can just select the UVs, rightclick>Normalize which will turn every projector into a square 1m projector. Other people might not want this and need their cubic projectors to span each face of their non square object exactly, and that's what a cubic projector is supposed to do by default.

					Hi Mihai
thank you for the full description.
Picture 1 - Step 1
i activate the materiallayer and normlieze with rightmouse klick
ok all texturequadrats have the same factor in Maxwellstudio but the
parameters shows
sca 0.027 | 0.104 | 0.073 ?
Picture 2 - Step 2
I give a walltexture to my activatetlayer
and see you the difference ?
the wall factor on left site it,s ok
but on the right site is to big
parameters shows
sca 0.5 | 0.5 | 0.5
Picture 3 - Step 3
I must my walltexture on the rightsite to adapt to leftsite
parameters shows sca
0.15 | 0.5 | 0.5
i found i must more steps to do we in the version 1.5.1
Greets

Matthias, just normalize and that's all you have to do in your case. You can now change the texture size of those walls with the texture tiling setting of the material.

You're on Win32? You may be running out of memory, I'm not sure.
Btw, you don't actually have to select each object and do Normalize from their projectors.
Just apply the material to them, then open the texture picker and check RS. This way you can do it for just one material and you're done.
