It says "Take a look at the full list of bug fixes and improvements at
www.maxwellrender.com" ...
Ummm... I can't find the list... maybe a little more specific...?
TIA

Towards the bottom of the page, right side. The "News" section.
Btw, there's a slight error in Known Issues, the blow up feature does work now.

Mike, I received an email that had the release notes on it. Maybe it would be best if Nicole posted those on her annoucement.

yeah... I never get the emails that people talk about... don't know why, I just don't... a list in the announcement would have been easier I think...

Now let me take the topic as an invitation...
It says:
"Fixed crash when loading some old MXI files"
(Fixed Mxcl Bugs, that is)
Old Mxi? Before 1.5? Old (before-1.5-)mxi don't let things crash, they don't work at all. When I try to load an 1.1 mxi it says: "blablabla.mxi cannot be read". I thought this was normal since 1.5?
Am I confusing things?
I mean, you can guess, how much [irony]I love it[/irony] that my old (before-1.5)-scenes are not Multilight-adjustable anymore. At least for me. Did I miss something?

Look at Tom's "Download instructions" on this forum.

mashium123, there was a big change between versions 1.1 and 1.5, not just because of the features added but changes in MXCL. So the previous mxi format could no longer be supported. This won't happen ofcourse with every update, but it was just not possible to keep compatibility with 1.1 mxi's in 1.5. I'm sorry about this, I realize it's not fun having to re-render a scene, but sometimes you cannot avoid incompatibilities with old data.

Hi Mihai,
Thank you for answering.
Yes, that's what I had thought when 1.5 came out, and I had to realize...
But the fixed-bugs-list, saying
maxwellrender.com wrote:...
Fixed crash when loading some old MXI files
...
confused me a bit.
So, it's not the really "old" mxi files, I understand.
no email announcement

I normally receive the email notifications, but not today....Any possibility that that can be resent to me?

Let me use this inviting topic furthermore...
After having looked around a bit...
So, this patch or update or whatever is "just" a fixing thing right?
There is nothing "added" which was not there before right? A feature or I don't know what...
Just to understand it. Maybe I missed something.... I mean, hey, I'm 31... things like that happen more and more these days
Thx for clarification...

In the previous mxst version there was a drop down camera selection menu in the upper left corner of the viewport like there is with this new patch.

MXCL > Render Options tab > Camera pull-down.
