after 1 hour rendering



this area started to decline at about 5 hrs and continued to get worse.
This is it at 13 hours.

Eventually I just said the heck with it and started over (modeling, texturing, etc) and thus far have not had any problems. I never did figure out what went wrong though.

I'm having the same problem - tried alsorts to resolve it but the same area keeps getting blacker as the render goes on.

This problem has not arisen again for me so I can't personally tell you what went wrong or how to fix. The only thing I can say is I know when it started, i.e. after adding a bunch of furniture into the model. My assumption is that something I added, I don't know what, caused this to start happening. I tried removing furniture, 1 item at a time until all of it was gone, but I still kept getting the dark areas.

Like I said above, I just got so frustrated and re-started from scratch. No problems since.
