but Nl can't communicate a approx date of release or rc update ?
maxwell render is fanstatic
can you speak about a time render for example ?

will we be able to resume a render like with beta?
how is the state of the plugins. personally i ask for the 3dsmax plugin. is the multi-mat issue/mapping issue solved...will it be solved?

Yes, resume will return, and the plug-ins are all being worked on and will be fully functional. Actually, the Max plug-in seems to get the love first

what's behind the "the wizard will do the rest", for material wizard ? (can you explain it a bit more)
Posted: Wed Mar 15, 2006 12:16 pm
by mverta
Yes, the Material Wizard acts just like the material selection in Beta.. except after you enter your "beta-friendly" parameters, it translates them into RC-style materials. So for those people freaking out with layers and whatever, they can just pretend it's the beta again

well, you were right Mike, this is more than I was expecting: separete channels for reflections/refractions/background, objects hide from camera, mxed.. thanks for your effort and work and for putting this announced announcememnt together.
now I'd like to see something like this once a week
