Not to be rude or anything but that could quite easily be done with any paintprogram, i can't see the charm in this one. Sorry

Well, thank you all! :) And I'm curious to see what will you come with a "quite easily be done with any paintprogram" approach. If you have a few minutes please replicate something similar with your paint application and please don't hesitate to post. I would like to know how you make it. :D

Yep, Max I do think you will find it to be surprisingly difficult, especially the shadows

Sigh, yes i knew that reply would come after my less-than-positive comment. I'm sorry it didn't make me excited but i never said I would do that, all i said is that it's possible to do with something like Illustrator or Xara X or even Photoshop or similar programs. And i know getting criticism is not easy all the time, but please don't take this personally (hope i won't get banned for this..).

 Perfectly the same. Is it from King Kong?

Thank you sir, but nahh this is from me and not King Kong.

It took about 30 min to do with Xara Xtreme, and not at all that complex to do. Basically it's a big gradient in the background, a splinecurve for the "hair" and then various gradient filled shapes faded out with some transparency to get the softened shadows below the hair on the imaginary floor below. And then last but not least the text was added with a similar font to yours. All of this is ofcourse vector art, no pixel stuff in this one :)

Although it's not a perfect replica of yours but close enough for the short time i spent on it. There are various things which needs some adjustment to be closer to yours.

Jun: Hehe thanx :D

Nico, good to see you think so but i don't think so. Sure my result ain't
100% accurate down to the shadow detail but i could probably tweak it
more and make it into a more precise accurate recreation if i wanted to,
but this will do fine for the 30 min i spent on it :)
