yes, you´re right, markus,

but i don´t think the flooring in the rc renderings was set this reflective...

but regarding the overall look, i must say, the rc version look far better.

perhaps i should test them with skylight and an emitter (since sunlight doesn´t work even in preview) in RC3.

wonder if they also look that better.

but, perhaps this one out of the beta would become better after 7:30 hours like the RC versions.

right now i´m rendering out my moroso chair straight out of cinema with exactly the same settings and materials (except bumpmaps).

post them tomorrow morning

good night

here is another comparison, but i think i had changed the lightsetup...

the one rendered in RC has 3 emitter that don´t point directly onto the chair, they point against the reflectors,

so only indirect light here.

and i had to change the textures from bumpmap to diffusemap.

so, here they are:

RC (original size, sl 20.12 after 10 h):

beta (think with direct light, don´t know time and sl anymore):

Updated first post with RC4.

The whole reflections and highlights are getting lighter, so i think in order to get the same result, i should have tweaked the burn value, but i didn´t to have comparable results.

and i sadly must admit, althought the RC 4 image cooked 2:30 hours longer, it doesn´t look as good as the RC 3 or RC 2.

what do you think?
