sampson: The milk one looks good, pretty realistic too.

Plummet: Such a shader should be possible to recreate now with this new sss system, it'll be interesting to see who will be the first to get it done properly. :) btw, that Hulk rendering is awesome

Tom:  lotsa great looking examples you posted. I especially like the quad-group of materialballs and Jotero's bust, the sss on that one is real sweet. And finally the milk example, yep you nailed it :)

I've missed seeing you around Max :(

And Tom those are looking very nice!

I'll get started on this skin stuff next weekend as I have family stuff this weekend. I can't wait :D

Do you guys know if it is possible to produce effects like the Tyndall effect which is seen in Moonstone and the blue sky above our heads. The Tyndall effect is caused by microscopic particles diffracting the light and producing a blue colour. I could explain it better if I got off of my lazy but and googled a proper explanation :). I would love to render some moonstone!

Some fine examples of Maxwells updated Sub Surface Scattering. I particularly like those volumetric effects and the Mihai 'flower'.

A humble start from me. The new SSS works very good. Noisy of course, but well worth it.
