Jeez, are you a detective?

Spoon history. Never really thought of that. So much for my intuition.

Smudging stuff is on its way.

In the meantime can anyone tell me why Maxwave sometimes apply's the same surface to all the surfaces in a single object?

hehe, no detective here - simply, some years ago i read the excellent '3d photorealism toolkit' by bill fleming (wiley computer publishing)... have a look at that book, really worth reading!

Ok, here is a little update.

Light is warmer like suggested and I changed the blender to a coffee maker and moved the blender base on top of microwave. Slight angle change.

Still haven't added smudgys yet either. Question. Do I have to make the logos on the coffee mate out of geomentry since roughness usually roughs up the image mapped logos as well?

Good stuff. It may be because of your camera lens setting, but the cup and spoon look too big to me. Compare the big part of the spoon with how much space it takes up on one tile, it looks a little big.

Yeh, here at work I get different comments about size. Some say spoon is too big or too small. Others think its the ROot Beer bottle. Also perhaps the plug outlet.

I measured all this stuff in real life then made it in Lightwave's modeler with measure tool.

I think perhaps that it might have been sized right early on but I keep changing things and now it all may be off.

Oh, well. I'll keep chopping. :D

the spoon does not bother me... looks like a ice cream spoon...

a couple things

there is no small cord to lift the miniblinds... add one... also (depend on style) a long plastic stick to orient the miniblinds...

the apple on window border will rotten in no time

the salt & pepper... salt is ok, but pepper looks like black ink

reduce the diameter of glass... put some left over root beer inside

model the cap of bottle, and put it near bottle...

yes, you better "model" the coffe machine logo

plug the grill stuff in the AC plug (green light looks like it is ON..

model a dirty sponge...

move the 2 suspended cabinet off the wall (5mm)

cheers

Really nice render, love the 4x4 tile on the counter top, I see that all the time around my way.

The thing that jumps out to me is the outlet; the ground hole isn’t a perfect circle on real outlets.

Cheers,
Mark
