Hi.
I've just started to shoot my own Hdr spheres using the book ”Hdri Handbook”, by Christian Bloch, as guidance. I can really recommend it.
However I have problem to gamma correcting the Hdr-sphere to match my LDR background image when render in Maxwell Studio.
If I put a chrome ball in my scene and render it gets way too saturated compared to the background. I think it's a gamma thing but I can't seem to fix it.
When I use my Hdr and background in Bunkspeed's Hypershot I can gamma correct the Hdr sphere and background image individually and they match nicely.
In Maxwell I Import the background image into MXCL and adjust the shutter speed, f-stop and intensity and save it as a MXI.
If I load the Hdr (gamma 1) in MXCL it is displayed in gamma 2.2. I then adjust the intensity so it matches the background image and save it as a Hdr. But when I load it in Studio and used the same intensity settings as in MXCL it still gets way too saturated.
What am I'm doing wrong?
