Hi everyone,
I am a industrial designer from Mexico city; my main focus is building Point of Purchase stands and making metal throphies. I use different rendering engines to present clients a preview of the work I will fabricate for them. I don´t charge them the cost of renders mainly because I only make them for reviewing purpouses (and because Brazil r/s or the max scanline are not so good renderers).
But recently I recieved an offer by an advertising agency to start making renders and animations for their clients, which will be a big break for me on this field.
So I am asking you for advise on how much should I charge for a visualization (Industrial design visualization). I know I must make a charge per hour worked, and I know it´s different if you work on Holland or in England, but I think I need some global parameter to start. I need to know about the VALUE of a render.
I`m kindly asking you about how much YOU charge for a render (and 3d drawing, of course).
Hope you can understand my need, and shred some light on the subject.
Thanks in advance.
Hope
