I am also working on ArchiCad 8.
Cy Nicolas!
Good job NL for creating the AC plugin! ...I understand the Mac users but I am a hardcore gamer too. So no Macs allowed in my life! ...hehe!

Based on murmurs over at
www.Graphisoft.com forum, it is expected to be released early next year ( I think Gallelo mentioned February or something like that). I'm not to sure about what improvements of features are planned, but I really hope that they upgrade the material editor to a more usable interface. A lot of people have complained about this and since they added Lightworks in version 9, I believe ( or rather hope) that they'll listen and do something about it for version 10. At the moment I would be fine with just having the plugin (Thanks NL) for exporting the model, and wouldn't mind having to do all the material settings on Maxwell version 1, final stand-alone when they finally release it.
But for now I'm relaly happy that NL listened to ArchiCAD users and gave us a plugin. Thanks again NetxLimit team!!!!

I hope that the future Archicad 10 is worth it and it is not just a cutter AC8 like the R9 version that takes 2min to load.
As far as rendering I personally don't care. I prefer using high end 3d software. But modelling in Archicad needs improvements.
