Here's the problem (bit confusing but i'll try to be clear),

1) i've managed to open an archicad model into studio by doing a
"save as" *.mxs file from the 3d window in archicad.

2) when i open it in studio, the model is interpreted as "one object" with materials from archicad still in place. Would prefer it read the model as separate objects! (how?)

3) i then open the material editor dialog box by double clicking on a material in the material list

4) i then select file>new mxm>it prompts to say yes or no (i say yes)

5) i then open the material browser & drag a maxwell preset material into the material layer box (in the material editor dialog box).

6) All appears ok.....I repeat this for another material, but the new mxm setting i did for the previous material is lost & changes back to original setting.

Anyone follow? Am i doing something wrong, or is this a bug?
