Windows XP Pro 32bit
3D Studio 2010 Design with Maxwell max 2.0.23 plugin
Units are set in mm.

Set up:
I have modelled simple hollow cube (outer dimensions 5x5x5m) in 3DS. I have applied basic diffuse white material to it. I have put one small sphere (radius 0,01m) and one small cube (outer dimensions 0,155x0,155x0,155m) in it. I have applied the same jomaga “metal halide hmi - 2500w.mxm” material to those objects.

Problem:
I get some times picture with two bright object that doesn’t illuminate the hollow cube, and some times I get the hollow cube illuminated though the light pattern is strange. Sphere doesn’t seem to illuminate anything. There is definitely something very strange in V2. I need help to pinpoint this problem.

Yes, of course. I added both max and mxs files in my original post.
I achieved this result deleting those lights and undoing that delete command. Resulting rendering was always random.

Thanks for the scene. I agree, there's something going very wrong here. Moving to bug reports...

Can you try with globally turning off Motion Blur?

Cool :)
Does this mean it works without motion blur and the report is limited to "emitters in motion blur"?

Yes, it works without motion blur and the report is limited to "emitters in motion blur". I wouldn't figure that one out by myself... Thanks again!

I have still some problems with IES, but that's another story.

Please, feel free to post a bug here. (As a separate thread of course ;) )
