I had this on my renders.

Even upto SL20 it was evident, but mainly with rough glass objects occluding my light sources.

With 0 roughness glass over lights, or simply lights straight to scene environment the noise is reduced.

A good way to check is to up the exposure to detect these sporadic hotspots, even by SL5 you can spot them, and I don't believe going beyond SL20 helps much either.

It's one of the failings of the glare system unfortunately. The spots are caustics hitting a surface, which the glare system picks up as a highlight.

Overlay the un-glared render in Photoshop (or similar) and use that to mask the hotspots. Or try a different glare map with less glare applied.

It's worse using -rs:0 as there are more 'firefly' hotspots produced.

Nice room btw. ;)
