FIXED 1.0: Crash every time I import to scene

Hi There,

I have a crash that is driving me nuts. I have a scene called "vplow_straight.mxs". I have set this up with materials and I can open it just fine. I have another freshly-exported scene (from Solidworks) called "vplow_forward.mxs". I want to apply all of my material assignments to this new scene (just the position of components have been moved) and render it. So I do the following:

- Open "vplow_straight.mxs" in Studio.
- File > Import To Scene, and choose "vplow_forward.mxs"
- Crash at 28% complete every time.

I can open "vplow_forward.mxs" just fine. Any ideas on this one? I am using RC5. A zip of the files in question can be found here:

Thanks a lot,
Mark.

Hi mark,

I have checked that both scenes are properly loaded in the current internal version of Studio. A lot of bugs in the import files area have been fixed. Thanks a lot for your report.

Juan

Hi Juan,

Did you manage to import the second scene "into" the first one, and keep all of the material references (but replace all of the geometry)?

Thanks for looking at this,
Mark.

In the current internal version of Studio I have done it fine. All the import methods have been further enhanced for the next version.
